Ravi Belegere, professionally Ravi was an actor, novelist, and very famous writer and Journalists. Ravi used to write articles in the Kannada language.

He mainly works for Kannada language-based magazines like Hai Bangalore and O Manase. Before death, he founded the Bhavna Prakashana, Bhavana Audio Reach, and Prarthana School. 

After completing his studies, he very first works as a lecturer in Hubli and Bellary Hassan, he was the lecturer of History. Then later on, in the year 1984, he moved to Bangalore and start his journey from there.

Career

After completing his studies, he begins his career, in starting of his career he was a lecturer in Hassan, Hubli, and Bellary, he was the History’s lecturer. But later in the year 1984, he left that job and moved to Bengaluru. Then here he begins working as a theater gatekeeper, newspaper boy, room boy, receptionist, printing press owner, milk seller, and medical representative. 

Then after doing lots of struggle, later he begins his newspaper in the year 1995, month September. I. H. Sangam Dev, R. T. Vittalamurthy, Jogi, and Ra. Somanath were his partners along with Ravi begins his newspaper named Hai Bangalore. 

Ravi published his first-ever book in the year 1980 named Daari this was the collection of Stories. Then later on, after three years in 1983, he introduced Agin Kavya which was a collection of poems and later he published Golibaar and Vivaah which was Novel and Translation respectively.

It’s not the end of his books and novels, in his career he has written more than 60. And later he also worked as a narrator and producer of a show named Crime Dairy which was aired on ETV Kannada.

Death and Education

 He was born and brought up in a well-settled middle-class family in Karnataka on March 15, 1968. And the previous year in 2020, month November, he died due to a heart attack.

Ravi completes his secondary and primary stage of schooling from his hometown, he used to go to Siddhaganga High School. Then later, for his further studies, he used to go to Veerashaiva College, Bellary and from there he completed his post-graduation in History and Archaeology.

Awards and Nominations

In his career, he won many awards for his contribution in the field of Kannada Sahitya and others also. In the year 1984, he won Karnataka Sahitya Academy Awards for his Translation Vivaha. And also he won the same award in 1997, for his story collection titled Pa. Vem. Helida Kathe.  And along with this, he won many other awards also and in 2008, he won the Karnataka Media Academy Award for lifetime achievement.
