After studies, Annamalai clears the toughest exam of India named UPSC in the year 2013, and in the beginning, he got the post of Assistant Superintendent of Police in Udupi, Karnataka. Then in the year 2015, Annamalai got promoted to Superintendent of Police and served in this position till August 2016.
